I left mid-afternoon for the movie theater; the weather was perfect and absolutely gorgeous, but since my mother was having knee problems I decided against the park that I mentioned. After all, I felt more like a show. Well, turns out just my mother and I went. My brother didn't feel like going, and my grandparents couldn't make it because they had to work (my grandmother owns her own corporation/business type deal).
Out of Ice Age III and UP, I chose UP, and damn, I was not disappointed in the least. If I was a critic, I would give that movie ten stars, a great review, and recommend it to everybody. Really, I won't spoil it for anyone or bore you with an in-depth description of my emotions throughout the movie, but it was just amazing; there was fresh comedy that kept me laughing, a lot of sad and touching parts, an over-all wonderful plot, and a great theme/moral. It made me very emotional... At the beginning (after the first five minutes) it already had me in tears! I wasn't expecting such a well-rounded masterpiece from Disney and Pixar, so I was seriously surprised by how great it was. With that said, I would like to thank Mintpuppy17 and Pop2by4 who suggested the movie to me in the first place!~
Moving on, almost immediately after that my entire family (mother, brother, grandmother, step-grandfather) went to Red Lobster to eat. Having pretty much spoiled my appetite by eating too much theater popcorn, I thought that I wouldn't be able to swallow anything... Turns out there's always room for seafood! Ramble, ramble, the waitress was nice, ramble, ramble. There were a lot of families out that night, though. First things first, I do not like little children. So guess what? The restaurant was teeming with delinquents-in-the-making. Right behind our 'round' table there was a mother and her two VERY loud toddlers, in fact. They were lovely kids, but man they could SQUEAL. It didn't deter my good mood that much, though. And um, moving on, I had crab legs and french fries, if you all care to know such specifics.
Then we went back home, me having almost fallen asleep in the back of the van. When we got to the house I had about, say, ten-seconds to rest before my grandfather ushered me into the living room for presents. To be a prick, I will roughly list what I got: an ipod dock, a new DVD player (my last one broke), some movies on DVD, A LOT of clothes (I'm not complaining), some of the Warriors and Seekers books that I needed to catch up, and some nice jewelry. I liked everything I got, by the way. I must say that I will be busy for quite some time~.
After that I was met with cake, oreo cake of some variety (one of my grandmother's many specialties). Trust me, there's always room for that. I blew out the candles after my grandfather LEARNED HOW OLD I ACTUALLY WAS. He kept on insisting that I was twelve, I knew he was joking, but darn, at first he seriously didn't know my age. The same with my brother as well... He guessed that I was fifteen, in all seriousness. My family sadly does not remember these kinds of details. Well, anyway, I had two servings of the cake (again, if you care to know the specifics). Right after I retired to my room to watch one of my DVDs after plugging in my DVD player. Everything after that was just smooth.
Well, that was my birthday to say the least. Not the most enthralling, but oh well. It's MY life, and I love it~!
Sorry for boring anybody too, I won't blame you if you skim.
