"Who are they?" Leafstar whispered, icy claws pricking her spine.

Spottedleaf didn't reply. Instead, the voice of the bigger cat, a dark brown tabby tom, floated faintly up from the gorge. "Will a Clan ever live here again?"

This is the scene in SkyClan's Destiny where Leafstar's tripping on acid and getting told by Spottedleaf about how to run her Clan.

I'm in the middle of it; I stopped dead in a paragraph to draw what I pictured, and here it is.

Why is Spottedleaf so important. She's like the freaking ambassador for StarClan, and she did diddly squat other than make a really awkward love triangle for Firestar to circumnavigate.

I love how you did the loveheart on Spottedleaf's chest. And to tell you the truth, I've always imagined her with green eyes too. I think I prefer them that way. Leafstar looks exactly like I pictured her too!! I also

I do the same; I don't know why, but I always give her green eyes by default. I often have to correct myself, or in this instance, don't really notice that I goofed until someone points it out.

Thanks for letting me know, I suppose, but also know this: I really don't care if I mess up their character design. When I draw fanart, I try to do it in my style as I see the characters. So, I honestly don't care if I got the eye color wrong. Not only is it not worth the time to point it out, but it's also annoying to have people correcting me incessantly.

That may be so, but please see it from my perspective: it gets extremely tiring having people correct me over nearly insignificant details, especially when multiple people feel the same need to point them out. Just yesterday I probably had around three comments on different pieces telling me I colored eyes wrong or made a cat too fat. Some of my pictures, all I get are comments about how I colored something wrong, or I didn't draw a character just right, and it just gets tiresome. Again, I draw characters via my interpretations of them; of course, I try to look up their designs to make sure I get them as correct as possible for the sake of easy identification, but even so, I make mistakes. And at the end of the day, that's what makes fanart awesome, right? Artistic interpretation and variation?
